Using technology to make Outdoor Shoes more comfortable, allowed people to wear these shoes all the time for every occasion. As fashion began to favor the rugged, outdoor look, casual shoes reflected these trends. Sneakers started to change their colors and reflect the influence of outdoors look. Manufacturers began to introduce new materials – GoreTex uppers, Vibram outsoles. Outdoor shoes were being offered by the athletic shoe companies, the hiking shoe companies, and the casual shoe companies. Outdoor footwear became an important segmen t of the footwear market.
